Annika grew up in Stockholm but studied project management in Gothenburg before graduating in 2013. She started working at the venue VEGA in Copenhagen pretty much right after and has been involved in booking the live program at VEGA for the last five years.

VEGA is located in the middle of Copenhagen and is the busiest concert venue in Denmark with approximately 370 concerts a year and +700 bands on stage. The venue got three stages with the cap ranging from 200 to 450 to 1550 and presents a diverse program filled with new talents and established legends within rock, pop, hip hop, electronic and world music.

VEGA as a venue has been defining the Danish venue landscape for more than two decades and plays a crucial role in breaking local and international artists to bigger audiences in Denmark. It’s recognized as one of the leading concert venues in Europe and not only due to optimal audio and lightning conditions but also because the building is an exciting architectural gem from the 1950. VEGA embraces everything from the intimate live show to the bigger crowds and have presented legends like David Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Noel Gallagher, Foo Fighters, Björk, Coldplay, Prince, Lady Gaga and Willie Nelson to name but a few.


Louder Than War / The Membranes / Author
Manchester, UK

John Robb is a leading music journalist and a bestselling pop cultural writer. He is the editor of the essential UK music website Louder Than War and monthly music magazine Louder Than Words. His books on the oral history of punk, The Stone Roses, and the post-punk and Hacienda Manchester music scene are definitive. Robb is also the singer with cult bands Goldblade and The Membranes, a TV and radio pundit, and a music academic.

Naively believing that you really could do what you wanted he formed the loudest group ever in 1977, the Membranes – the highly influential post punk band were a big influence on the soon to come Sonic Youth and Big Black American scene. Membranes fell apart 1990 but recently reformed and their 2016 Dark matter/Dark Energy is a critically acclaimed ‘masterpiece’ that is their best selling album yet. The band will release their new album in 2018 which will be recorded with a 20 piece choir.

John also currently writes books and articles, runs a music and books festival called Louderthanwords and is a political campaigner who chairs committees in Parliament and is an in demand speaker with his spoken word show spawned by the success of his talks of TEDx on punk, zen and the universe and also for his talks of veganism and punk rock and is launching a one man in conversation show called ‘The world accruing to John Robb’.
Safe to say, he also tours the world.

Moritz Gombert works as artist manager and A&R for Motor Entertainment in Berlin. Founded in 1994 by Tim Renner under the umbrella of the music conglomerate PolyGram (later known as Universal Music), Motor quickly established itself as an influential alternative label and discovered and broke internationally groundbreaking artist such as Rammstein, Muse, Nelly Furtado, The Rasmus and many more.

In 2004, at the height of their success as the decisive driving force behind the European music scene, the team adopted a new approach and reformed as Motor Music, this time as an independent and self-sustained record label. Since 2009, Motor offers artists its experience and infrastructure as a label service Rent-A-Record company (RAR).

Based in Berlin with international experience in Sweden, Moritz is focused on developing artists on the international market and in charge of booking the music tv show “Berlin Live” broadcasted on German/French tv channel ARTE.


Peephole Recordings

Annelie Johansson is an artist, musician, producer, topliner and an indie label owner; mainly overseeing herself as an artist doing electro-ambient pop, with pushy beats and experimental soundscapes. Situated in Gothenburg she runs Peephole Recordings, ’the smallest indie label on earth’. It wasn’t until last year Annelie got totally stunned by some songs from a whole new band and then decided to open up shop for other artists music as well. Still in very small proportions but nonetheless with strong love to the music and with the focus set on the friendship you share when making way through the music jungle. You could say that Annelie is involved in every step of a music release – from writing the first tunes, to mixing and promotion – and then out on the stage.

The 902 Hip Hop company’s founder, Melissa MacMaster, gained valuable business management experience from her previous roles working at Atlantic, Canadas entrepreneurial eco-system and start-up community. Melissa spent over 7 years as a business development officer and started her career in the music industry by teaching business skills to emerging young artist through the Artpreneur 2.0 program.
Transferring her high caliber skill set to the music industry and successfully launching 902 Hip Hop as an artist management, music licensing and synch company. 902 Hip Hops expertise has created incredible talent and has solidified Halifax as a major player in the Canadian hip-hop music industry and active in other areas as well.

Cecilia Velasco is a graphic designer, creative director and businesswoman from Mexico City. By spending several of the formative years in Italy she got deep into art in all shapes and forms. When in her twenties she got involved in advertising, working as an art director for many years before switching to freelance design before starting her own business, Creative Works, being both creative director and partner.

Today she is on top of the Marvin Media Platform, with the base in what might be the worlds most vibrant place, Mexico City. Ceci has been part of positioning Marvin as one of the leading platforms in music and pop culture in Mexico and Latin America and as one of the main culture outputs within the media landscape of her native country.

The focus these days are to keep building the Marvin platform as an evolving brand that offers different, relevant, strong, and both growing and trendsetting content – a philosophy that has brought to life not only Marvin Magazine but also Marvin Digital, #RockParaLeer and #TintaSonora book series, and of course, FestivalMarvin.

Paul Connolly is a British journalist who has written about pop music for more than 20 years for publications as diverse as The Guardian, The Local, The Independent, The Times, Record Collector and Electronic Sound. A former London denizen who recently relocated to Sweden, he’s now the UK media’s go-to guy for all things related to Swedish pop. He still can’t quite believe just how good the Swedes are at pop music.

Away from music he has two interests – Manchester City and trying to keep up with his boisterous twin daughters. Both pursuits have been tiring but ultimately rewarding.

Becky Ayres is the Managing Director (MD) of Sound City, the UK’s leading independent festival for new music. Becky is passionate about emerging talent succeeding and one of the favourite parts of her role is overseeing the international and emerging artist program. She also runs the Sound City Entrepreneur Training Programmes which are aimed at anyone who has a burning desire to work in the music industry and board member of the UK Association of Independent Festivals.


Torstrassen Festival / M:Soundtrack
Berlin, DE

Melissa Perales moved from Chicago to Berlin in the 90’s where she studied film at Columbia College Chicago. Since then she has organized an international film festival, owned her own restaurant, began booking and promoting live shows and film screenings under the moniker M:Soundtrack. As a concert promoter she presents international acts monthly, often at the stellar indie-venue Schokoladen. M:Soundtrack is a platform and meeting point within the Berlin independent music scene since it’s 2004 inception. She has also been co- organizing the Torstrassen Festival since 2011, now a three day event that takes place in various parts of the neighborhood Mitte.

In 2017, Melissa became the co-founder and curator of We Make Waves e.V., a new Berlin based Europe- wide network based on learning, sharing, connecting and exchange for women, trans and non- binary in the music industry and other creative fields. Her next mission in 2019 is creating together with Antje Grothe (Media Producer) an online open learning and sharing based platform for female identifying and non binary people working in music and other creative industries.

Besides all of this Melissa is a pretty good hobby dinner party hostess. You can find her often up late night watching supernatural TV shows to wind down from all the ideas but her main job is being a mom to two boys, 4 and 17 years old.
