FINALLY FINLAND
Like a bolt from the blue and we're back with another year filled with more shows and happenings. The heads of the Electric Hydra gathers ones again, traveling from their ancient southern past to the cold north of Finland.
After overcoming the challenge of changing guitarists, Electric Hydra is now ready for their Finland-debut. They're eagerly looking forward to sharing their music with the rock-loving Finns. Catch them on February 23 at Lepakkomies in Helsinki and on the 24th at Nirvana Bar in Turku. With this trip to Finland, Electric Hydra are introducing Emil “Riff King” Andresson and Ali “Carpenter King” Selimic as their new guitarists.
– We've shared the stage with Craneium a few times before in Sweden, and this time they were the ones who invited us to come and play in Finland now that they've released a new album! And we are not the ones who say no to rock n’ vodka! says bass player Ellinor Andersson.
Electric Hydra has an exciting time ahead of them. With new material written and rehearsed with the new guitarists, they are gearing up for release of fresh music, following their latest single “Eyes of time” which dropped in 2022.
– We had an album in mind at first but now we've settled on releasing two EPs, so we have more stuff happening. Our plans are to play a lot, we would really like to have a tour as an opening act or be a part of festivals when our new music is out in the world. But it's a hard business so we'll have to wait and see, says Ellinor.
